Passover Camp
Fun For Your Entire Family
APRIL 11-14 & APRIL 17-20, 2025
This Passover, join us for a Passover Weekend! Relax in the Texas Hill Country for 4 days and 3 nights, enjoying comfortable housing, delicious food, and an unforgettable holiday for the whole family!
The doors are open to any Jewish family looking for a fun holiday, including those who are totally new to CYJ! But newcomers beware—after a long weekend of peaceful surroundings and crazy-fun events, you may get hooked on Camp Young Judaea… just don’t say we didn’t warn you!
Passover Camp has schedules tailor-made for toddlers, children, teens, and grown-ups. Youth camp programs will run throughout the day, allowing parents and grandparents to explore our adult activities. From arts and crafts to ropes course, guest speakers to sports, the retreat offers something for everybody. Evenings feature programs for the whole family, and we’ve planned Shabbat-friendly activities and community services for Friday night and Saturday.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
I CAN’T BE THERE ON THURSDAY… COULD I COME ON FRIDAY?
Yes! Although Passover Camp starts on Thursday, you are welcome to join us on Friday. Please let us know if you plan to arrive late.
WHAT ARE THE ACCOMMODATIONS LIKE?
At Passover Camp, we provide 4 types of (air-conditioned) accommodations.
Families can choose to stay in one of our 22 cabins. Each unit includes 10 bunk beds and a bathroom with 3 sinks, 2 toilets, and 2 showers.
Our lodge accommodations offer single rooms furnished with 1 twin bed, 1 queen bed, a sink and private bathrooms (toilet and shower). Each Lodge room can host a family of 3 and are also big enough to include a pack n play.
Our Health Center accommodations offers private rooms and bathrooms. Each room has 1 queen size bed, 1 bunk bed (2 twins), and a private bathroom with a shower. Each Health Center room can host a family of 4.
Our newest addition to CYJ, the Retreat Village, offers private rooms and bathrooms. Each room has 2 queen size beds and a bathroom with a shower.
While you have the ability to request which accommodation you prefer, we assign housing to most efficiently fill our facilities. We want to allow as many families to participate as possible. We will use our best judgement to place you and your family in the most appropriate housing given the size of your party.
WHAT WILL THE FOOD BE LIKE?
The idea of eating “camp food” may be conjuring images of mystery meat and kool-aid… not to worry— we do run a retreat business during the year, after all! You’ll love our delicious, well-rounded meals. We keep a kosher kitchen year-round with separate meat and dairy kitchens, but are not overseen by a Mashgiach. Passover Camp food will all be Kosher for Passover.
CAN YOU TELL ME MORE ABOUT PASSOVER CAMP’S RELIGIOUS PRACTICES?
All of Saturday’s activities will be Shabbat-friendly, but attendants can of course observe Shabbat to their own comfort level in the privacy of their rooms.
The same applies on years when Passover Camp includes the last two holy days of the holiday—our programming will be holiday-friendly in the public areas.
WHAT IS CYJ’S RETREAT REFUND POLICY?
It’s simple and fair! Cancellations made more than 2 weeks before the retreat date will be fully refunded minus a non-refundable $25 registration fee per participant. Cancellations made within 2 weeks of the event will receive a 50% refund. Day of cancellations or no-shows are responsible for 100% of the retreat fees.
HOW MUCH DOES PASSOVER CAMP COST?
Couple of 2 people: $850
Families of 5 members or less: $1700
Additional family members: $300 per member up to 10 total members per family.
If you need to make any alternative arrangements, please email our Retreat and Program Coordinator, Michelle Mohnblatt, at
