CYJ’s Future Through Your Legacy

What Will Your Legacy Be?
Once upon a time, Honi the Circle-Maker encountered an old man planting a carob tree and asks why he is planting a tree that takes 70 years to bear fruit. The man replies that as his ancestors planted for him, so he is planting for his descendants. (Ta’anit 23a)
Make the Gift of a Lifetime
A Legacy Gift can help you strengthen the CYJ experience for generations to come. Legacy Gifts can be as simple as a designation in your 401K, will or trust, or may be made through retirement plan assets, life insurance, a charitable gift annuity or donor-advised fund. Please consult your attorney or tax advisor for professional guidance in this area.
If you have already provided for CYJ in your estate plan, please share your plans with us by filling out this form: Legacy Gift Confirmation. If you prefer to remain anonymous, we are happy to honor your request.
The Legacy For Generations Society honors those individuals who have created a lasting legacy by completing a Declaration of Intent to make a provision for CYJ in their estate plan. Legacy Society members are invited to share their CYJ story by adding an entry into the CYJ Legacy Book. As you read the inspiring stories one theme emerges – the promise of one generation to the next ensuring the vibrancy of Camp Young Judaea - Texas.

Establish a Named Endowment Fund
The establishment of a Named Endowment Fund carries on your family name or remembers a loved one in a way that will strengthen the CYJ experience now and in the future.
Your named endowment will join other CYJ named funds being managed by the Houston Jewish Community Foundation. These funds are permanently invested to provide income for continued support of the camp. Each year an allocation is made from the endowment to provide scholarships and support the CYJ experience.
