The past two weeks of intense war with Iran have brought us all into lockdown, with schools closed and very few opportunities for kids to be with their friends. In the midst of it all, our home has been filled with rikud, shira, aidah cheers—and even birkat hamazon :)

The kids have been recreating camp moments together, singing loudly, dancing around the house, and cheering in ways that lighten things up during a very tense time.

Kfir is already counting the days until Nitzanim. One night, while sleeping in our safe room, he told us he dreamt about camp. Since then he has been asking lots of questions about camp - which naturally sends our girls into long reminiscing sessions about everything from coffee cake to nikayon competitions.

In moments like these, it is incredibly clear to us how much CYJ has given our kids—not just joyful memories, but also resilience and positive ways to channel their energy (and nerves) during difficult times.

We are deeply grateful for the funders and supporters who make it possible for Israeli kids like ours to experience the magic of CYJ. We see the impact often, but especially now.
