Marco Vasquez II
Assistant Director of Community Engagement
Marco joined the CYJ year-round team in Summer 2025 after growing up at camp as a camper, CIT, and staff member. Now back in his happy place, he travels across Texas connecting families and Jewish communities to the ruach, joy, and magic of CYJ—long before summer begins.
Marco grew up in El Paso and now lives in Austin with his partner Meghan and their energetic black lab, Luna.
He studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of North Texas and spent several summers on staff at Camp Ramah in Ojai, California. Today, Marco focuses on helping families across Texas connect to CYJ all year long.
Whether it’s a camper reunion, Shabbat dinner, or a pop-up s’mores night, Marco is all about keeping the CYJ spirit strong—even when you’re not in Wimberley.
Marco looks forward to meeting you at an event and helping your family fall in love with CYJ—just like he did.
