FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT WILL WE DO DURING THE WEEKEND?

The weekend offers plenty of time to be busy and plenty of time to relax and just enjoy being at camp with your family. All activities will be enjoyed with your family unit, there are no kid drop off times or staff to watch the kids. We ask that a parent or guardian be present at all activities with their children. Upon arrival you will be able to sign up for different activities by family, such as: archery, swimming, boating, sports, and more!

You aren’t required to follow the schedule and you can opt in or out of any activity. If your just kids want to play on the playground from sun-up to sundown, that’s okay! If your teens want to hang out at the hammocks and just talk the day away, that’s okay, too. We encourage you to bring books, games, sports equipment, or anything else that sounds like a good activity for YOUR family.

WHAT ARE THE ACCOMMODATIONS LIKE?

At camp, we provide 4 types of (air-conditioned) accommodations.

Families can choose to stay in one of our 22 cabins. Each unit includes 10 bunk beds and a bathroom with 3 sinks, 2 toilets, and 2 showers.

Families can also choose to stay at our Lodge. The Lodge accommodations offer single rooms furnished with 1 twin bed, 1 queen bed, a sink, and a private bathroom (toilet and shower). Each Lodge room can host a family of 3.

The Retreat Village offers single rooms with two queen beds and a private bathroom.

The last option is our Health Center accommodations, which offers private rooms and bathrooms. Each room has 1 queen size bed, 1 bunk bed (2 twins), and a private bathroom with shower.

You are welcome to request your preferred accommodation, but your request is not a guarantee, but we will do our best to accommodate it.

WHAT WILL THE FOOD BE LIKE?

Our guests always seem surprised at how good our “camp food” is. It’s true, we are a kids’ summer camp, but don’t think all we do is hot dogs and chicken nuggets. We run a year-round retreat business, after all! We will have some of the kids’ camp favorites (yes, that includes Saturday morning coffee cake) as well as plenty of grown-up choices. All the food is guaranteed kosher in our separate meat and dairy kitchens.

CAN YOU TELL ME MORE ABOUT THE RELIGIOUS PRACTICES AT CAMP?

We observe the laws of kashrut at camp with all food being certified Kosher. Those who wish to celebrate Shabbat, we can provide siddurim and places for services. There will be no organized Shabbat activities during the weekend, but we are happy to help your family make them happen.
