I write this Fresh From Frank with Israel at war and now with tremendous and blatant Antisemitism facing us Jews. I am who I am because of CYJ. I support and love Israel. I know so many people living in Israel, and I worry. It’s not about if Israel will win. I do not doubt that will be the outcome. I think and worry about the soldiers, hostages, and the Israeli people.

Over the last 12 years, 175 tzevet (staff) from Israel have worked at CYJ as part of our mischlachat (Israeli delegation). Each had a story and played a role in making CYJ a place special for our chanichim (campers). Working for 25 summers at CYJ has been consistent in many ways: first, no phones or electronics; second, continuously building a love for Israel; and finally, making a unique community where our chanichim are proud to be Jews. Go forth, be loud and proud. Am Yisrael Chai!
