If you smiled at this picture, you might just be part of the CYJ family.
After every camp meal, the chadar ochel is filled with ruach as hundreds of campers and staff chant the Birkat Hamazon blessing. Like most camp traditions, this one goes back decades and the hand motions and movements throughout the “Birkat” are the same as when you were campers.
I love that all CYJ’ers leave Camp knowing the Birkat Hamazon and will remember it for the rest of their lives! To all the Black Friday shoppers out there, clicking on this link means that CYJ will earn a few shekels from your shopping. It’s a win-win!
On behalf of the CYJ team, we are thankful to be a part of this wonderful family! Have a happy Thanksgiving and when you bang on the tables during the Birkat Hamazon, make sure not to spill any gravy!
